Buddy, the Piratedog is inspired by Ellie Rudolf's 13-year-old, one-eyed French Bulldog named Buddy. People, especially kids, would always ask why Buddy only had one eye. Stumbled at first by that question, Ellie came up with a more playful approach and gave everybody the same answer ever since: " Do you really want to know why he only has one eye?", she whispers with a mysterious voice "It's because he is a PIRATEDOG!"

Meet the real Buddy
Buddy was born June 2012 in Germany. He lived with his the Rudolf family since he was 8 weeks old and even moved with them from Germany to the US when he was 6. He was the funniest, most loving and loyal, little guy.
After 12 years and one week, Buddy fell asleep peacefully on his backporch surrounded by his family, who misses him deeply ever since.
